This course focuses on the case interpretations of the Code of Ethics and will bring the Code to life with real-world scenarios. In addition to four hours of code of ethics training, this course also meets the NAR mandate of 2.5 hours quadrennial ethics training.

This course provides an overview of commonly used forms in residential transactions. It also include guidance on the use of LLR mandatory forms required under License Law 2017.

Code of Ethics 2.5 – #DEE 3047 +

This course is designed to meet NAR’s requirement of 2.5 hours of ethics training as well as the need for a 2-hour continuing education course. This course give an update to changes to the Code as well as a discussion of several “sticky situations” that are currently being seen in the marketplace.

Real World Fair Housing – #DEE 3705 +

This course is an extensive deep dive into fair housing violations. Using video, role play, and interactive exercises, the student will see how fair housing violations actually play out on the street.

Broker-In-Charge Courses

4-hour BIC course required for active brokers-in-charge.

Risk Assessment for BICs – #DEE 4325 +

This new course gives four hours elective continuing education credit and meets the mandatory requirement for BIC’s renewing in 2026. As the title states, the focus is on risk management.

The following topics are covered:

  • What the SC Code of Laws 40-57 requires of the broker-in-charge
  • How to create a compliant office policy
  • Management of trust accounts and responsibilities
  • How to determine which facts regarding property are material and required to be disclosed
  • Creating a document retention system
  • Disclosing brokerage relationship options and use of mandatory forms
  • Provision of compliant forms to associated licensees
  • Adherence to fair housing laws

This course is the BIC mandatory course for 2026.
